Healthcare MarketMaker and the TENN Program: Part I
Healthcare MarketMaker is one of ten startups recently accepted into LaunchTN’s TENN Program, a master accelerator for graduates of Tennessee’s nine startup accelerators. A total of 89 startups were eligible to apply to the TENN program.
The first meeting of the TENN took place on October 23rd and 24th in downtown Nashville. Healthcare MarketMaker and the other nine teams hailing from across the state of Tennessee came together for orientation, met the master mentors, and learned the art of Mastering the Rockefeller Habits: Scaling Up, by Verne Harnish.
I want to highlight Harnish’s book, Scaling Up, How a Few Companies Make It… and why the Rest Don’t. This book highlights tools and techniques to help your startup succeed and thrive. The goal of the book is to take the everyday challenges associated with new ventures and use them as fuel to ignite and accelerate your business.
Scaling Up focuses on four major areas: People, Strategy, Execution, and Cash. This book is a guide for helping young and established companies grow and flourish.
Healthcare MarketMaker is already implementing the software Align, a tool that gives visibility and insight to your business and enables decision makers to adjust plans as needed. “We are looking forward to implementing different habits from Scaling Up, starting with Align. It’s a great way to keep all of our team members on the same page. We are an agile startup with a lot of moving parts. These habits will keep us on track and set us up for success” says Tony Corley, CEO of Healthcare MarketMaker.
